Responsible and Executive Director- Applications Development
Executive Director: Advisory Solutions

Duties:
Responsible and accountable for the timely, high-quality and cost-effective delivery of the Advisory portfolio of applications
Direct and lead multiple delivery leads and their sub-portfolios, infrastructure projects for hosted solutions, development projects, development group(s) and/or application support functions in support of multiple business groups and client opportunities
Partner closely with business stakeholders to outline technology fiscal planning and be accountable for overall technology spend
Aligns with the Advisory Technology Governance Office to significantly improve the market impact of Advisory’s investment in technology; accelerate speed-to-market; and enable Advisory partners to reuse existing or more easily develop new technology enabled capabilities
Prepare portfolio financials and obtain approval through Advisory Technology Governance Organization and Advisory Functional CFO
Active participation on the Solutions Leadership Team and implements opportunities for improved alignment and synergy
Business Executive level escalation point ensuring business expectations, goals and objectives are met
Steer overall business expectations, perceptions and support ongoing two way communication of technology strategies, priorities and governance
Develop solid business relationships becoming a trusted advisor with key leaders and stakeholders to proactively support business objectives
Ultimately responsible for oversight of all phases of the system development and implementation process including budgeting, planning, scheduling, status reporting, analysis, design, development, testing, and ongoing support for the client area’s application systems in an environment of diverse development platforms, computing environments, software, hardware, technology, tools, etc
Maintain relationships with vendors and professional organizations

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master’s degree preferred in CS/EE or MBA
Minimum 15 years work experience in IT with at least 10 years in systems analysis and application program and product development
In-depth knowledge of the system development life cycle, the clients area’s functions and systems, and application program development alternatives, with at least 10 years managing and directing systems development or systems maintenance project teams
Strong negotiation and influencing skills with experience leading a geographically-dispersed team with the ability to define innovative technology solutions to meet business objectives
Must have strong leadership qualities and proven ability to lead technical and functional teams
Executive communication skills both oral and written
Strong negotiation, facilitation and influencing skills
Strong relationship skills
Creative thinker with ability to identify innovative business solutions
Ability to quickly respond under pressure within a fast paced environment
Experience utilizing off-shore teams
Ability to develop and execute multi-faceted business plans that incorporate in-depth understanding of overall business mission, objectives and tactics
Possesses expert level knowledge in the establishment of standards related to the application development life cycle and Agile application development
